Project: The fictional Handshake app was developed to streamline invoicing and collaboration between freelancers and the business owners who hire them. The goal was to create an app that would address the very different needs of creative freelancers and busy business owners, giving them their own space to plan, create and track progress.  It would also simplify payments and invoicing, and facilitate easy discussions about project goals and results. 

Process:  

1. Define Handshake's brand voice, style and the appropriate tones for each user group
2. Create brand slogan 
3. Discuss user journey with the UX designer
4. Edit copy provided by stakeholder in the Figma flow
   
5. Discuss copy and gaps in the UX with the designer

About the app

• Business owners and freelancers each have their own interface in the app
• Business owners pay freelancers and track the progress of hours worked 
• Freelancers send invoices to business owners and report project progress  
• Both are able to message each other within the app

New screens

Having worked my way through the user journey, I noticed that there were a few gaps that could be filled with additional screens. I gave my ideas for what a 'project hub' and 'project overview' screen would look like, as well as a more detailed 'My account' screen.
